Mental health practice
James Roberts Mental Wellness is a telehealth therapy practice serving adults anywhere in Florida. I designed and built the site in Bricks Builder to feel warm, human and a little imperfect on purpose, while still doing the practical work a practice website has to do: explain services clearly, show up in search, make booking and insurance simple, and protect client privacy at every step.

Highlight 01
Most therapy websites look the same: stock photos, soft gradients and copy that could belong to anyone. This one leans the other way. Hand-drawn illustrations, taped-paper labels, a handwritten display font and a warm palette of forest green, terracotta and cream give the site a personality that matches the practice. Real photos and plain, conversational copy let visitors get a feel for who they would be working with before they ever book a session.
Highlight 02
Each area of focus, from anxiety and OCD to trauma, depression, serious mental illness, and disability and chronic illness, has its own dedicated page. Every page opens with an At a Glance card covering who is seen, where, when, the therapeutic approach and how to book, then walks through what therapy actually looks like, common questions and related services. Rank Math handles on-page SEO, and structured data describes the practice and its licensed clinician, so each page is built to be found by people searching for help in Florida.
Highlight 03
Insurance questions are one of the biggest barriers to starting therapy, so the site answers them directly. Booking runs through Headway, where clients can check their coverage, see expected costs and schedule a session. The Insurance page lists every plan currently in network and shows plans still in the credentialing process with estimated dates, so visitors know exactly where things stand before they reach out.
Highlight 04
A mental health practice cannot treat a contact form like any other website. The contact page clearly explains that the form is not a secure channel for clinical information, asks visitors to acknowledge that before sending, and points anything clinical to a secure Spruce line instead. Crisis resources, including 911 and the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, sit right beside the form, so no one in distress is left waiting on an email reply.
Goal
The goal was a website that makes starting therapy feel less intimidating. It needed to show the person behind the practice, explain services in plain language, answer insurance and booking questions up front, and earn trust through verifiable credentials and careful handling of privacy, all while reaching people across Florida who are searching for telehealth therapy.
Approach
I built the site on WordPress with Bricks Builder and a custom child theme, pairing a hand-drawn visual style with a clean, consistent layout system. Every service page follows the same structure, so visitors always know where to find what they need. Behind the scenes, Rank Math manages SEO, Wordfence secures the site and LiteSpeed Cache keeps pages fast. Booking and clinical messaging are handed off to platforms built for healthcare privacy (Headway and Spruce), keeping protected health information off the website itself.
Results
The completed website delivers:
The result is a practice website that feels like talking to a real person and makes the first step toward therapy a little easier.
